Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Starting with my son's birthday, Christmas, then the New Year's, the last 2 weeks have been quite eventful at my house.
New Year's Day is a very special day in Japan, so I tried to recreate that as much as possible here in NY. From cleaning the entire house to cooking for hours, it was exhausting, but I don't think it would feel like a new year if I didn't do anything special! I don't think my son was too impressed with all the strange food, but he did like the black beans I made especially for him.
I hope you, too, were surrounded by family and friends this Holiday, and may 2010 bring you all much joy and happiness!
